The Fire Bird

By Isabella Schembri-Adams

Fiery wings zoomed across the dark midnight sky like a burning shooting star. Its scarlet wings glowed like the sun on a hot summer day.

The fire bird’s wings lit up the cloudy sky making the night no longer gloomy and dull. Its bonfire red wings covered up the sky like a blanket.

Its burning hot wings pushed through the sky.

The fire bird snatched a golden apple off a tree and continued to race through the night sky. Its wings blew in the wind and all of the other birds watched it twirl and spin.

Nothing could stop it, it was too big and bright.

Its fiery eyes stared at things like 1,000 volcanoes staring into your eyes.

No eyes were as beautiful and red as the fire bird’s bonfire eyes. Only some people were scared of the burning eyes of the fire bird. The fire bird’s eyes were as red as the sun.

Its feathers were as beautiful as the wings and the eyes. They were as red as a bonfire, as red as the sun and as red as a fire.

The fire bird pirouetted through the dark night sky.
