Marilyn lay naked in bed with her new lover Bruce, reflecting on the wonderful two hours they had just spent together.
He had given her the best sex she’d ever experienced but now she felt guilty at being unfaithful to her husband for the first time. The fact that Bruce was her husband Roger’s best friend and business partner made her feel even worse.
“What’s the matter?” asked Bruce, running his fingers through her long blonde hair.
Marilyn sighed. “This is the first time in ten years of married life that I’ve been with another man and I feel so guilty,” she said.
“Didn’t you enjoy it?”
“Oh, yes. It was fantastic, Bruce. But I’ve got to throw you out now. Roger is due back from the office in about half an hour and it would be dreadful if he caught us together in his own home.”
She could see Bruce smiling at her. “Don’t beat yourself up, luv. For all you know he may have been unfaithful to you, too.”
“No,” insisted Marilyn, stretching her long, shapely legs and then sitting up. “He’d never stray – he loves me too much.”
Bruce grinned and his blue eyes sparkled. “You’re probably right, but his gorgeous new secretary would tempt any man.”
Marilyn shook her head. “I know I can trust him. He’s always telling me how wonderful and young I look for a woman in her forties so I meet all his sexual needs.”
Before she could continue the phone on the bedside table rang and she could see on the information panel that it was a call from her husband’s mobile.
Marilyn answered the phone on the third ring. “Hello, darling,” she said. “Is everything alright? Oh, I see…I quite understand…Okay. Goodbye.”
As she put the phone back, Bruce asked: “What did Roger want?”
“You were right, Bruce,” she sighed. “He’s cheating on me with his new secretary.”
“How do you know?”
“My dear husband called to tell me that he’ll be quite late because he’s working on some new project. He says that YOU have just turned up at the office and he’s taking YOU out to dinner to discuss it.”
