Actor Brian Capron, who became a Coronation Street legend when playing serial killer Richard Hillman, will be the guest speaker at Anderida Writers’ next meeting in the Garden Suite of the Hydro Hotel on Tuesday, September 8th at 7.30 pm.
His entertaining talk, to which everyone is welcome to attend, will offer new aspects about writing. In addition to providing anecdotes about his career, Brian will give members advice on the advantages of obtaining endorsements and forewords for their books, having written several himself.
Mr Capron has just recorded audio versions of two books for a new novelist, and he will refer to the author’s journey from inspiration to publishing and audio book etc, including pitfalls, costs, book launches, discipline, etc.
Anderida’s Patron Tamara McKinley, Vice Chairman Nigel Gearing, Secretary Robert Crouch and Competition Secretary Francis Wait have resigned following disagreements concerning competitions.
Chairman Tony Flood will be paying fitting tributes to them for all their contributions to Anderida at the September meeting.
Brian Capron has agreed to be Anderida’s new Patron, with John Newton taking over as Secretary and Richard Rewell becoming the new Competition Secretary.
