Memories of Oblivion

By Philippa Drake

Memories of oblivion
in the albescent mist
rising to submerge
an infant dawn
dappled gold
and fragrant as lavender
mauve in fairy woodland.
I dare to oust obsidian
that melds
with the icy pall
menacing dreams of closure
honed to bind
a merciless past.

Author Bio:

I am an award winning author who received the Emily Dickinson award for my poetry collection Mystic Meanderings a few months ago. In total, I have published 18 books of verse, 17 of which I have added to my Etsy shop
www.filigreewords.etsy.com. I am also an accomplished singer and I attend regular karaoke sessions in Eastbourne. I also busk when the weather is clement.

In addition, I have a homeware store www.zazzle.co.uk/Tea_for2 selling mugs, coasters, magnets and tea towels, etc. where I have listed some Remembrance Day memorabilia and Christmas gifts.
