Writing can be fun, but sometimes a drain,
Stories with no endings that drive me insane
The ideas kept flowing, bombarding my mind,
but now writer’s block is making me blind.
I’m sitting at my window, eating crisps, feeling bad,
if I don’t get new ideas soon I’ll go quite mad.
The trouble is that I’ve got quite a collection,
of unfinished stories going in the wrong direction.
The thriller with a husband who murders his wife,
I just can’t decide where he hides the damn knife.
Should a gun kept in the cellar of a very old house
be found by a child when chasing a mouse?
Perhaps I should give up, is it just a waste of time?
A story uncompleted, a poem that won’t rhyme.
I could take up a sport or join an art class,
or maybe just relax and let the days pass.
I’ll wait for a new plot to float into my head,
Have a nice glass of wine and then go to bed.
