By Shraddha C. Sankulkar
An hour-long flight
Got delayed at source,
Kept hovering over my city
Till the runway shaped its course.
The only pleasant feeling
Were the visuals below,
From the tiny plane window
I enjoyed the ariel show!
The glitter of streetlights
Marking the highway,
The dim lighted boats
That harbored at the bay,
The pacing of the trains,
On which the people โleanโ,
The steady flow of traffic
From above were seen!
It seemed so miniature
Like a model toy town
But as the plane descended
A megalopolis was dawned!
As the runway welcomed the flight
A sense of joy derived,
When the pilot announced on landing,
That Mumbai had arrived!
