Four Pets to the Rescue

By Isabella Schembri-Adams

Set in the middle of the countryside was a small cottage called Cosy Cottage, which was home to one cat, one dog and two bunnies.

Their names were Goose the black cat, Stormy the Springer Collie dog, and Cola and Zizzy, the Lion-headed bunnies.

They lived with their family and they all loved going out and exploring further and further in the countryside.

On Stormyโ€™s second birthday he decided to take his three siblings to a special high-up treehouse behind a long row of glowing bushes. This is where Stormy sneaked off to every night so that he could decorate it more and more before he took his siblings there.

Goose, Kola and Zizzy spent hours exploring the treehouse and running up and down the fairylight-covered hallways.

However, just as the last small light turned off for the night, a horrible screaming noise left all four of the siblings terrified.

Despite their anxiety, they dashed off deeper into the woods to help whoever that screaming was coming from. But as the sound couldnโ€™t get any louder, Kola smashed into something hard and painful.

That is when Zizzy speedily turned on the torch.

A 25 foot high barn stood intimidatingly in front of them. The sign written in bold letters read โ€˜Deep Forest Slaughter House.โ€™

After three deep breaths they burst through the door.

The sight of rows and rows of squashed and blood covered animals was forever traumatising.

So the four of them yelled at the farmer and told him that there was an intruder outside.

He darted out of the door and the four siblings locked every door and quickly led all of the animals into the farmerโ€™s truck, checking that no animal was left behind.

A year later, the four of them had become the worldโ€™s biggest heroes after they had travelled all around the world and put a true end to all animal cruelty.

No animal testing, no leather or fur coats, furniture or anything else. No meat or animal products any more because there had always been fake animal products for people to eat or use which tasted and worked exactly the same.

The four siblings had made a dream come true.
