By Philippa Drake
In the miasma mists
of an autumn dawn
a matchstick sailing boat
loosed of frayed twine
snakes toward rolling hills
that guide greyed souls
stolen by synthetic powers
of battery controlled radar
and crimson ghostly appearings
that haunt the darkling stars
murmuring their strangled melodies
in a rusty wood.
